Great idea for Alaska
Reminiscent of a Farmers Coop, a Member Coop Oil/Gas Refinery combined with hydroelectric may be the answer Alaskans and Alaska Legislators are looking for.

"Always recommends the best software..."
This program is F-A-S-T and safe. Our computers continue to run normally after using CCleaner.
If you have discovered software or a computer product that you'd like to recommend, make a comment here. Test your Firewall with LeakTest.
We are currently using MS Security Essentials for SpyWare and Virus protection. And, since the better half discovered KeyScrambler, we've been encrypting everything we type in a browser, including e-mail. These programs are Free and are working well for Internet safety.
Registry Cleaners:
Some registry cleaners are "use at your own risk" because files needed for System Restore points may be removed; while other registry cleaners automatically create a new restore point before performing changes. To be safe, do not use a Registry Cleaner if you are unsure of how to restore the Registry. This Microsoft Windows page contains valuable tips for How to backup and restore the Registry.

Credit Crisis? How to repair your own Credit
If you are trying to repair your credit while making reduced payments and have assets, forgiven debt could bring a 1099-C Cancellation of Debt and an unexpected tax bill if the IRS believes the forgiven debt was income, depending upon the type of debt and your financial fitness when the debt was forgiven.
A fixed-rate mortgage might look attractive if your debt was the result of an Adjustable Rate Mortgage. To learn more about Mortgages, see the Mortgage Professor and this page at Recovery.gov or Hud.gov.
A great idea
I recently came up with an idea for Alaska in lieu of budget problems and wildly fluctuating oil prices and the high cost of living.
Having grown up in the midwest, I remember the "farmers coops" that allow farmers to buy farm products at lower prices because of the buying power of all the coops members. There are also electric and grocery coops in many parts of the country... So, why not create an Oil Coop? Oil and gas companies would gladly sell their crude oil and natural gas to the members coop for refining and distribution to members at reduced prices!
Wow, what an idea! Imagine the people of a huge oil state, paying less for gasoline instead of more. And, for good reason: It's our oil!
Post your comments and if we like it, we'll publish it.
