The Wise Old Blogger always recommends some of the best and safest Internet software. Our latest great find is a FREE program that used to be called Crap Cleaner, and is now known as CCleaner.

This program is F-A-S-T and safe. Our computers continue to run normally after using CCleaner.

We are currently using MS Security Essentials for SpyWare and Virus protection. And, since the better half discovered KeyScrambler, we've been encrypting everything we type in a browser, including e-mail. These programs are Free and are working well for Internet safety.

Registry Cleaners:

Some registry cleaners are "use at your own risk" because files needed for System Restore points may be removed; while other registry cleaners automatically create a new restore point before performing changes. To be safe, do not use a Registry Cleaner if you are unsure of how to restore the Registry. This Microsoft Windows page contains valuable tips for How to backup and restore the Registry.
